Without an account
- You can read every lesson and use most tools without signing up.
- Guide and practice progress is kept only in your browser tab (session storage) and disappears when you close it.
- If you send feedback or a topic request, we store what you wrote and a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for one day's rate limiting — not the IP itself.
With an account
- We store your email, and anything you choose to add: display name, username, bio, interests, photo, location, preferences.
- We store your activity so the dashboard works: saved and learned lessons, guide and practice progress, checklists, goals, and any translations, conversations, or plans you choose to save.
- This data is locked to your account at the database level — other users can't see it.
- You can delete your account and all of this data from Settings at any time.
AI tools (Translate This, I'm Confused)
- What you upload or type is sent to an AI provider to generate the explanation.
- Uploaded documents are not saved by us. Text is saved only if you're signed in and choose to save it.
- Please don't include Social Security numbers, account numbers, or other sensitive details — Translate This includes a tool to black them out.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, and we don't share your account with other Humanhood sites.
